Bulmers (the company) has been around for ages, in fact the Magners is called Bulmer's in Ireland but not over here because we already had our own cider-making Bulmers. I didn't see this particular cider around until recently, I think it's being marketed more as a response to the introduction of Magners; it is, like Magners being marketed as higher-quality so serve over ice.
