The AnchorSilver St, by the river behind Queens College29/10/063 pumpsyes + usual snacksthis could be a really nice pub, its a nice building in a great location but like most of the pubs in Cambridge this is a Greene King pub therefore the selection is limited and the interior is very unimaginative so unfortunately it's nothing specialGreene King IPA, Abbot Ale and Old Speckled Hen3.5
The Bath HouseBenet St23/05/073 pumps?, Leffe Blonde on tap? + usual snacksGreene King Pub, nothing specialRuddles Orchard, Greene King IPA2.9
The Cambridge ArmsKing St02/09/063 pumps?? + usual snacksGreene King Pub and as ever is very samey, has a nice little courtyard but is totally devoid of atmosphere or character (UPDATE 07/04/07 Seems to have changed, walking past it looked to be a up-market restaurant full of pertentious cunts drinking fermented grape juice)Ruddles County2.9
The CowCorn Exchange St23/09/06crap, no handpumps if I remember rightlyyes + usual snackshas a bar in the basement, but thats the only interesting thing about this place, I only ended up having a drink here because I needed somewhere to have a shitGuinness Draught1
The EagleBenet St23/05/073 pumps?? + usual snacksyet another Greene King Pub, the only ales available were Greene King but nevertheless this is a very likable pub, it's got character and a nice (heated) sheltered yard where you can drink outsideHardy and Hanson's Rudolph's Revenge. Greene King Fireside, Abbot Ale3.5
The Prince RegentRegent street23/09/063 pumps?? + usual snacksthis may or may not be a Greene King pub but there was at least one non-Greene King ale available, unfortunately the pub itself is nothing specialBrains Reverend James2.9
The RegalSt. Andrews St26/10/06several pumpsyes + usual snacksJD Wetherspoons - Lloyds no1 bar, same as every other Wetherspoons - the beer's poorly looked after but at least they have a decent and changing selection. Also, if you do complain that your ale smells like rotten eggs they seem perfectly willing to replace it.?2.8
