SU BarUniversity of Essex10/20061 pump, rarely on, supposedly Adnams Bitter though I have it on good authority that the casks they do recieve are actually Fullers London Pride, they just sell it as Adnams cause they dont have the right sign and they don't expect any one to noticeyes + usual snacksFull of snakebite-and-black-drinking low-life student scum, in fact there are so many that people just ask for a snakebite (1/2 carling and 1/2stongbow) and they get a snakebite-and-black (snakebite with blackcurrent cordial) - I wish I could say that people who drink this are beneath contempt but I seem to expend a lot of energy on being contemptful of them. This is - or at least was - also 2nd home to a few despairing people with taste who, being lazy students, can't be bothered to go all the way to a decent pub especially when having friends and girlfriends who work behind the bar means there are significant cost incentives to stay.Guinness Draught, Adnams Bitter, London Pride, Newcastle Brown Ale2.9
Top BarUniversity of Essex10/10/2006Adnams Bitter (rarely on)Weekdays only(nothing special) + usual snacksFull of Students, can be nice if you like that kind of thing, the managers are also really cool. I regret not spending more time here instead of the SUGuinness Draught, Adnams Bitter3.2
